Discover the most beautiful car collection in the world !
More than 400 exceptional cars from the Schlumpf collection are exhibited on more than 25,000m². The industrialists and brothers Hans and Fritz Schlumpf, who were passionate about cars, kept their secret collection in the warehouses of their Mulhouse spinning mill. They turned it into a museum, but had to abandon it in 1976 when their textile industry went bankrupt.
In 1982, the National Automobile Museum opened to the public. As soon as it opened, 422 pieces of the collection were classified as historical monuments. In 2002, the museum was awarded the title of Musée de France, making the collection permanently inalienable.
In 2022, the museum will be renewed with a new restaurant, a new shop with exclusive products and a bar with a roaring twenties atmosphere.
An exciting journey through the largest car collection in the world, the fabulous Schlumpf collection.
